Political graffiti/street art

«Political graffiti is unedited and, at least until it is removed, uncensored. It is intended to be confrontational; it doesn't aim to please. Unlike the mass media, which increasingly toes the government line and has certain expectations of its contributors, street art allows writers to express their thoughts freely. Such freedom allows great potential for creativity. This kind of communication might not always be aesthetically or politically pleasing to every viewer, but it is thought provoking. In fact, political graffiti can reflect the audience's attitudes more closely than the mass media.»
